At AWS re:Invent 2016, I have re:recognized the greatness of AWS after the two big sessions, Partner Summit keynote & Keynote by Andy Jessy.
I'm gonna pick up important parts and write about personal impression. Note that the views and impressions here are those of individuals :)
Partner Summit keynote
Partners are necessary for customer success

Even if the AWS services widely open and everyone can use it, it seems that it's difficult for customer to use AWS efficiently and effectively. So customers are asking for certified AWS partners.
By the way, in this session, Serverworks was introduced as over half of the engineers are AWS certified ;)

The more AWS grows, the more the partners grows. There has been a new opportunity, especially for consulting partners to maximize returns.
Managed and migration services are growing

There is much demand for migrating to AWS from On-premise. As mentioned above, partners are essential for migrating, and the business grows rapidly.
And also, managed services like SaaS is hot!

AWS has begun to put effort to SaaS, not only launched a new service, but also making the network.
There might be a some reason. But I guess AWS has recognized that they can't cover all entire area and the network will work more powerfully and effectively than they do everything themselves. It will leave other cloud provider way behind, I guess.
What's next
When I saw Partner Summit keynote, I strongly felt that AWS places importance on partners. That's what makes the difference between AWS and the others.
My next article will look Keynote by Andy Jessy.
